Friday, June 25, 2010 - Back at the beginning of the summer, Tricia and I took the kids to a nearby blueberry farm called Chmielewski's Blueberry Farm. We started out early to avoid the crowds AND the afternoon heat. We were probably there a little over an hour.
We picked just over a pound and half of blueberries. We had no idea there was a farm so close (literally just down the freeway), and the kids had a great time filling their buckets. There was also a cage with bunnies for the kids to pet. Brooke (especially) had a field day petting the bunnies!
When we got home, Brooke and I washed them to put them in the container and into the fridge. She is really the only person other than me that eats blueberries. But she's discovered she likes her Cheerios better now with fresh blueberries!
